Freshers' Reception Program of the Department of Food Engineering, JUST

The Department of Food Engineering, Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) organized a Freshers’ Reception Program on August 12, 2025, to warmly welcome the newly admitted students of the B.Sc. in Food Engineering Program, Session 2024–2025. The event was held at the department premises in a festive and vibrant atmosphere, with enthusiastic participation from faculty members, staff, and students.

The program was graced by the presence of the Honorable Vice Chancellor of JUST, Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, the Vice Chancellor congratulated the freshers on beginning their academic journey at JUST and encouraged them to take full advantage of the academic and research opportunities offered by the university. He highlighted the importance of Food Engineering as a rapidly growing discipline that plays a vital role in ensuring food security, safety, and sustainable development in Bangladesh.

The reception began with a welcome speech delivered by the Chairman of the Department of Food Engineering, who expressed great delight in receiving the new batch of students. He assured them of the department’s commitment to providing quality education, laboratory facilities, and an environment conducive to both academic excellence and personal growth.

Several distinguished faculty members also addressed the students, offering advice and encouragement. They emphasized discipline, innovation, and perseverance as essential qualities for success in higher education and future professional life.
